Whitefish Montana is a charming mountain town at the northern edge of the Flathead Valley in Northwest Montana.  The vibrant town’s population is just over 6000 people who love the lifestyle we enjoy here.  Just north of Whitefish is the beautiful Big Mountain, with sculpted runs and expert amenities provided at Whitefish Mountain Resort.

The town enjoys four full and stunning seasons and easily accessible trails, rivers and lakes for recreating stretching from the hills west of Whitefish to Flathead Lake and Glacier National Park.  Residents of Whitefish have many outdoor gear and guide shops to help outfit their adventures.

Whitefish has a bustling downtown filled with a variety of shops for everything from household needs to chic boutiques.  Refuel at one of our famous coffee shops or taverns.  Take in an off-broadway show at O’Shaughessy’s Cultural Art Center, or dance the night away at a number of hot night spots.

Whitefish is a cultural hub for all.  There are so many family services, excellent walking paths and parks, and a pedestrian friendly downtown – its no surprise the town is full of families.  The area is also quite popular with retirees who enjoy a mild but snow-filled winter, and young seasonal workers who chase sun and snow to new employment destinations.

Whitefish is known for many seasonal festivals that occur throughout the year:  Christmas Stroll, Winter Carnival, World Indoor Golf Championships, Montana Music Festival, Huckleberry Days, Taste of Whitefish, and Oktoberfest are all annual events that draw many to their annual festivities.  Summer’s weekly Farmer’s Market is popular with the residents and visitors alike – you’ll see real farmers, beekeepers, cheese makers, and many more Montana artisans and craftsmen and women selling their Made In Montana products.
